"Last Couple Standing"
At the Dance Marathon organised by Alice, the gang are in pairs except for
Helena. Tina approaches her to apologise for what happened. Tina: I’m sorry….about everything with Dylan. I feel like we pushed
you into it. Helena: No…I mean, thank you for apologising but….I was complicit…I
wanted to know. Tina: She’s in love with you. Helena: Where is she?
Tina pulls away Helena to join the gang. Alice persuades her to participate
in the dance. At first Helena declines saying she cannot stay up late but gives
in to Alice’s insistence. During the dance competition, Dylan appears out of
nowhere to take Helena’s hand.
Dylan: I’m so sorry. Helena smiles and they do a little dance routine of their own while Bette and
Tina are on the stage dancing their hearts out. All is forgotten. They kiss and
make up, cheers for Tina and Bette.
They sneak out of the dance floor to make out and gets all
giggly. Dylan: What… Helena: This just reminds me of when I was….I don’t know, about 14 or
that way, I’d sneak out of boarding school so I could snog Bridget Chrislinson. Dylan: Whatever happened to Bridget? Helena: Oh…she hooked up with Jonathan Barkley, this maths genius and
it kind of broke my heart, actually. So it seems like not much has changed, has
it? I’m still just gambling with my heart. Dylan…I’m sorry, ok? I’m sorry…. Dylan: No, no, no…..no, no, no, no……listen…no more apologies….I think
we can just start new, ok? Can we do that? Helena: Alright……yeah.
