All I know is that Alex was great in her scene, really good.  Bravo!  I'm hung up on the episode 5 spoiler right now.  *daydreaming*

Sorry for the shitty review this week, I was counseling a friend at the same time so I was only half paying attention, with the exception of Alex's part.  THAT garnered my full attention.

Episode 2  "Lost Weekend"

Review
The only thing I remember from the episode is Carmen's hot body.  Ok, that's not true, but it doesn't STOP.  It, being her body.

This episode starts off again, with another short blip from 1979, the Castro in San Francisco.  This woman is walking around looking for sex, she wanders into a bathhouse, and is directed somewhere where the girls are.  She makes it there and starts getting it on with someone.  I thought she looked a little like Mel from Queer as Folk.

Alice goes to a support group for Love Addicts.  She talks about why she dated the male lesbian, Lisa, saying how "easy" guys are.  (I wish I could meet a male lesbian- anyone know one?)  Helena hires a Lesbian cleaning service for Alice (Lez Clean Up, ha ha ha) to help get her apartment in order.  Really they are there to get rid of her Dana shrine.  Alice fights getting rid of the life size cut out of Dana.   Alice makes an ass out of herself again when she takes a box of sex toys that she and Dana used and dumps them on Dana's table at the Planet.

Then it cuts to Jenny and Moira.  I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, but I just don't like this story line and they just spend too much time on Jenny.  Too much time.  Moira is cute in her own way, but I'm not impressed with the character so far.  The voice, also, doesn't match the person.  Ok...Jenny goes down on Moira whilst she is driving.  Ok, what the...how does that happen?  Am I...naive or missing something?  How is this possible whilst driving?  Is this something I need to try??  Sheesh.

Then some guys start harassing Moira at a gas station, calling her a fag.  They drag her out of the truck and start attacking her.  (aren't they rushing into this a little fast, its only the second episode)  Anyway, Jenny comes to the rescue with a stun gun (uh huh) and gets the bad guy.  On their road trip back to LA, Jenny and Moira stop at a dive bar.  Moira ends up asking this other chick to dance, and then of course, Jenny gets jealous and makes them leave.  They leave and have an interesting scene at the motel where Jenny tries to "give" to Moira who refuses, but doesn't go into why.

Kit has a casino night "Vulva Las Vegas" (get it?) at the Planet for AIDS research.  Alan Cummings plays the emcee, dressed in fabu drag and even shows a little arse.  There was a hot lesbian Elvis.  The soup chef is lookin' really hot this season.  Her hair...its lighter or something.

Then Bette is lying awake at night worrying about the adoption.  Tina seems aloof.  (could it be that she was sound asleep?)  Bette says to Tina that they never talk anymore they only fight.  Ut oh.

Then, perhaps the best part of the show- Shane and Carmen.  Shane has to wear the dress...omigod, that had me laughing out loud, which is rare.  Shane in the dress, with the heels...and the hair.  That was FUNNY.  Just goes to show you what people will do when they are in love.  Shane looked cute in her boy briefs.  Is she still as thin as last season or did she gain a pound or two.  She just looks better.  Then Carmen's mom sets Shane up with a guy.  Carmen cuts in, its ok in Latino culture for two girls to dance.  Score!  (are Carmen and Shane living together now?)

Then Dana and Lara are in the bathtub, and they are talking about how Dana needs to go to the doctor because she needs to get a check up.  Hmmmm.  Seems fishy and obvious.

Episode 1  "Labia Majora"

Review
The scene opens up in 1973, a bunch of attractive women are sitting around in a living room examining their...ahem...er uh...snatches, with mirrors and learning about their anatomy.  This is obviously a very "progressive" thing for the time.  Then the camera kind of zooms in on this one woman who isn't really saying much...there is a little dialogue between her and the attractive woman sitting next to her...then the shy woman takes off to the kitchen because she's overwhelmed.  The other woman follows her into the kitchen, where the shy woman is seduced by the more aggressive woman (why can't this happen to me??)
Then of course, there is the bad Betty opening.  Can anyone say, Ilene Chaiken must be dating one of the Betty band members??
Alright, then...good god, I can't remember...oh this is not a good sign, its only one night ago and I can't remember what happens next.  I remember the end, they are all throwing out words for vagina, but the one they forgot was poontang.  And then synonyms for having sex, like bury the pipe, bump uglies, etc.  And it fades out.
But before that...

All I know is that Bette and Tina have their adoption hearing.  The social worker who comes to the house is a total freakazoid, barking out orders and passing judgment like nobody's business.  Bette and Tina are practicing attachment parenting (?) where the baby is in constant contact with a human.  Good lord help them.  That'll get old.  What about whoopie time?  They have no crib and the house is not baby-proofed, so their first visit wasn't good.  We are told there will be another in 2 weeks.
Alice was acting like a total stalker- as in, peering in windows at Dana and the soup chef getting it on.  Kinda getting old, not like Alice to be so...unbalanced, off her rocker, desperate, etc.

Shane and Carmen finally hook up.  They are quite the smokin' couple...I actually was attracted to Shane for the first time ever.  Maybe being more vulnerable, or was it the oxford shirt?  I like her more covered up, and more open hearted and sensitive.  Go Shane!  That's it, put your heart out there a little, girl.  And Carmen...

Ok, then there is Helena, who goes to the psychic and is told that she is going to meet a brunette, who drives a blue car, and is bisexual.  Hmmmm...pray tell, who could this be.  They try to set it up like it might be Alice, but I'm not fallin' for it.  No way.

And who could forget dear Jenny, who meets an old friend (?)- Moira, who is kinda...uh...masculine?  She decides to drag her back to LA with her.  Jenny gets caught "doing it" with Moira at her parents house and gets kicked out.  But it doesn't matter, she was leaving anyway.  I tuned out most of the rest of the stuff with Jenny, so you'll have to check elsewhere for more details.
I think thats it.  I don't think its in order, but you get it.  Right?
I'll take better notes next time.
